I like a gown from your designers’ website. Do you have it available in store?

Yes, most of the wedding dresses posted on designer website are available in store. We are a retailer of exclusive bridal collections, so we can order any wedding dresses you may see online. Often we have something similar available in store, therefore we recommend to reserve an appointment to try on gowns.


Do you make custom made wedding dresses?

We will create the initial sketch, select fabrics, take your body measurements, and finally set up a date for your first fitting. The standard time recommended for a custom-made gown is six months depending on the design details. Call us today to reserve a private consultation with a professional fashion designer!


Do you offer alterations?

Yes, we do offer in-house alteration service only for dresses purchase from our show room in Chicago. 


Will I need alterations?

Yes. Since we are all shaped differently, alterations are almost always needed for a perfect custom fit. Our designers make their dresses in standard sizing by using a standard size chart. Once you have selected “the one,” we will take your measurements and order your dress as close to your current size as possible. 


What sizes do you carry?

Most of our bridal gown samples are size 6 to 14. However, we do have a selection of bridal gown samples in sizes 16 to 28. All of our dresses can be ordered in a variety of sizes. Keep in mind that dress samples do not fit anyone perfectly and bridal sizes are quite different from regular dresses available in stores. Sometimes are too big, too small, too long, or too short and every woman has a unique shape. Wedding gowns are ordered according to your measurements and the type of shoes you will be wearing the day of the wedding. We believe alterations are very important, so your dream gown will fit every curve and inch of your body like a glove.


How far in advance should I order my dress?

You need to order 4-10 months prior to your wedding to avoid any stress. The earlier the better! Custom made dress orders can be processed in less than 4 months and dresses off-the-rack can be purchased at the time of your visit.


Do you take walk-in appointments?

In order to ensure greatest customer service, we receive by appointment only.

Why do you require a credit/debit card for reserving Semi-Private Bridal Consultations?

Every bride deserves a wonderful shopping experience at Deflorio Fashion. Therefore, we often have a wait-list of brides ready to schedule appointments. By having a 24 hours cancellation fee, we can offer every bride the opportunity to shop with us.
 

Where are you located?

Our showroom is located inside a building called “The Edge”. We are at 2 blocks from Union Station next to a church called Old St. Patrick Church. You need to go inside the building and ask for Deflorio Fashion. The doorman at the front desk will send you up to the 5th floor where the show room is located at Suite number 506. Parking spots are available in front of our building or north Des Plaines Street between Adams and Monroe.


Who and what should I bring to my appointment?

You are welcome to bring closest friends and family members whose opinion you value the most, maximum 2 people. You can bring pictures of wedding dresses you have seen online or on magazines that you like. It is also a good idea to bring shoes and undergarments that are similar to what you plan to wear on your wedding day.


I am getting married in one month what are my options?

It is not too late and we will do our best to get the gown you want. Your options will include buying a wedding gown off the rack or working with a bridal consultant to choose a designer that carries a large stock.


Out-of-state bride?

Not a problem! We are happy to ship your dress anywhere you would like. Shipping fees apply.


How much do your gowns cost?

Our gowns price range from $800-$3,000, with the majority of our gowns being around $1,500. Keep in mind that we always have gowns on sales that are available to be purchased off the rack.


How do I pay for my gown?

We accept electronic payments, personal and certified checks, credit and debit cards, and cash. Once you placed the order, we require 60% deposit at the time of your order and the remaining 40% balance is due to pick up date.


What is your return/cancellation policy?

As soon as we collect the payment for a gown and/or accessories, the order is submitted to the designer that same day. All of our designers have a very strict policy on not allowing changes or refunds once orders are placed, since everything is custom made and goes into production. Therefore, Deflorio Fashion cannot allow any changes, cancellation, and refunds to an order after payment has been collected. All sales are final.


What is a trunk show?

A trunk show is a special event in-store where you can view and buy from a designer’s latest collection before the line appears in stores. During this event you will have a chance to see an entire designer collection with a large variety of dress in different shapes, fabrics, and color palettes.
